American Diabetes Association® Answers the Question “What Can I Eat?”

In conjunction with a session at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo (FNCE), the American Diabetes Association (ADA) is releasing a

new resource to help people living with diabetes answer one of the most common and challenging questions: “What can I eat?”The new resource is free and available to download here https://www.diabetes.org/sites/default/ files/2019-10/ADV_2019_Consumer_Nutrition_One%20 Pager.pdf .

The new resource will help people better understand
the information provided in the ADA’s recent nutrition consensus report, which provides healthcare clinicians with evidence-based guidance about individualizing nutrition therapy for adults with diabetes or prediabetes. The nutrition consensus report was published in the May 2019 issue of Diabetes Care.

The ADA is committed to providing the more than 30 million Americans living with diabetes and the 84 million with prediabetes with the tools they need to thrive, whether they’re in the kitchen or the clinic. To learn more visit diabetes.org/nutrition. NHR
