Women with a Heart-healthy Diet in Midlife Are Less Likely to Report Cognitive Decline Later

Adhering to the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet starting in middle-age could potentially reduce the risk of cognitive decline in women, according to a recent study. After about 30-years of follow-up, women who closely followed the DASH diet experienced 17-percent lower odds of reporting more than one cognitive complaint, compared to women who did not follow the diet.
